Max is loving the Christmas Season. The delight & joy in his eyes and words makes the season even sweeter for me. Christmas in NZ has been a hard thing to adjust to here. Different weather (well technically Dunedin is graciously giving me winter weather for Christmas. The only only only good thing about this city with horrible weather!). New people. No friends or family I grew up with. Different traditions. Different types of celebrations. Just all very different and hard at some moments. I LOVE Christmas and can find good in it here but it truly has been a battle. Having Max feel excited and loving the thrill of Christmas has been an unexpected source of smiles and joy. When we go into town and he sees new Christmas decorations up he screams "Ismis Mommy Ismis Mommy." He gets so excited about his Advent Calendar he helped me make and when he sees a Christmas tree it's like watching a commercial for the wonder and magic of Christmas. I love seeing Christmas through the eyes of this two year old.
