I Love Being His Mom

"Mom match me?!"

He won't always want this so this answer is a LOUD YES!!! Every time yes!

Easter

Nana and Guitar Pop and Auntie Rosie and Uncle James came for a South Island Holiday and came to see us the 4 days! Max was in heaven. He was up at 6am waiting all day for them to arrive.

Didn't waste any time getting his dinosaurs out to play with them.

Auntie Rosie gave him a bunny that looked just like her beloved bunny Mushroom (RIP mushroom). Max has carried that thing everywhere.

Resting after an afternoon of shopping

Nana brought backyard games.

Feeding the duck

Then we all headed off to our favourite beach hotel.

Nana got him an American flag!

Movie time

Aunt Bunny Max fondly named aunt Rosie

Bunny boy!

"Look mom I have to show you the most amazing thing."

Beach kisses.

"Mom can you take a picture with me & Guitar Pop?"

Nana had all the pictures of her & max on her camera! But I promise you he had so much fun with Nana & all her presents. Thank you for spoiling us for a few days!

Rugby

Well our boy finally gets to start rugby. He has had a blast! He loves practice. He loves games. He loves wearing the uniform. And the yummy chocolate he gets.

All rugbeyed up. Playing for the Alhambra Union Broncos

Off to watch our team play at the stadium. Ben Smith "invited" him (all little rugby players) to the game and he paid. It was all so very exciting.

His first coach ever! Coach Ronnie is amazing. So patient. So good at growing their skills and so fun.

Oh my goodness. Social media, busy summer, craziness and life took over! This is supposed to be my attempt at a scrapbook & Instagram seems to be doing that more often!

So lately, by lately I mean since November!
Christmas parade fun. Notice our puffer jackets and remember that this is our "summer"

I love having a boy

Poor buddy. Broken collarbone

The doctors told him they were talking "pictures" of his bones. He smiles at each click. Such a good American boy!

No school for a week so this spider boy hung out with Mama

My sweet cheerleader for my 10K

One of Max's new friends, Dr Sam. I love how my son can be friends with any age. Dr Sam has a big movie screen and we watch movies while Daddy studies.

4th Birthday

So I did awesome at being in the moment at Max's 4th bday party. Unfortunately that meant I got barely any pictures. So bummed about that! No family could come this year but so many friends and friends that are like family came so Max was very very loved and celebrated. The weather was perfect!!! Hot and sunny. A perfect Ackland day. The house was full of his friends (kindy & uni friends) and he was loved on all day. After it was over he kept saying, " Mama I loved my dinosaur party."  It is so fun doing parties for this kid!!!

He put up dinosaur signs everywhere around the house, dinosaur footprints outside to show his friends where to go, streamers when the door opened so it felt like the forest, balloons everywhere and every food was dino themed. His favourite being the "dino poop" (Maltese/whoppers). He had an incredible day!

A tiny glimpse of the table behind his awesome cupcakes.

So sad I didn't get the other 6! These were unbelievable cupcakes!!!

Opening presents

Happy Birthdsy Max

Our friend Dani's sister made the cupcakes. Dani knew we called Claudua "baby claudia" so she made a special one for her. A baby dinosaur popping out of its egg.

And that's it! Can you believe it!!! Next year I'll find the happy medium & be in the moment abd delegate others to take pictures.
