Happy New Years

Good bye 2012! You were filled with good byes, hellos, new beginnings, crazy challenges, two islands, two beaches, a two year old, cold weather, sunshine, growth, learning, laughter, new house, family, friends, Skypes and voxers, and lots of memories!!!

Beach Day

Another new beach....that was virtually empty with just a smattering of tourists. Mind boggling this city we live in!

Same Same

Max is in heaven having daddy home and able to spend so much time together. Today he had to match daddy in everything. With each new item he found to match he would say "Same same mommy." Pointing to himself then daddy. He was SO proud to match Daddy. We found a few cool parks by our new house. While our weather came and went the day after Christmas we still are trying to stay outside until the rain comes.

We have had wonderful weather and been able to sit on the deck and enjoy the sun. Bliss. Smiles. Happiness.

Max doesn't sit still so the pictures in his new Christmas Jammies were very funny!!! This is as good as we got. We did get some good bubble bath ones though. He got to open some gifts tonight including his Christmas Jammies and this amazingly cool bubble bath!

Summer Days

Home Sweet Home

We are in our new house! Not without some parting drama with our neighbor. Anything less would be boring.

Max is loving the new house. He has been a champ in the transition. We moved all weekend then worked all week. In the process Max rediscovered a favorite toy. Woody. He even took Woody to the doctor today because his ear hurt. Max had his checked too.

Big Kid

Max & Daddy hung out all day while Mama got a pedicure & her hair done! I love the week after exams are over!

He has turned into such a big kid. He played hard all day with Daddy and crashed hard too!

First Hot Chocolate

Water. His favorite thing at Starbucks. I don't think he knows you can get anything else. This week he was enlightened. In his Advent Calendar this week one of his activities was to get a hot chocolate.

Lets just say he liked it. Done in 2 minutes! He is such a turkey and makes us laugh daily. He is our sweet little Christmas gift.

We have been going a lot this week. He has played hard. Laughed hard. Ran hard and just plain doesn't stop but in the car. I caught him in two very still moments this week. He was asleep under his glasses I think. Liam was with me and we kept asking Max if he was awake, but when we got home after no answer he said, "no sleep mommy." Sure buddy!

Christmas Parade

Max went to his first Christmas Parade that he was aware what was going on. It was very different than the Mount. Sam and I laughed especially when there were 4 lifeguards and at the Mount they had the most people of any organisation. We're not at the beach any more!

Max loved it and was overwhelmed a bit too. He loved getting to see Mater & Lightening and sitting like the big kids. He was adorable when we first got there he saw all the kids sitting & would only sit like them. He didn't smile for the picture but he really was having fun! There were tons of police cars, ambulances, and fire engines so he was thoroughly stoked!

Our other moment of laughter was not one group or float gave out candy...not even the Cadbury car. We have the Cadbury factory right in the city. Oh Dunedin we are learning to embrace you and your differences.

All in all it was a super fun family Christmas Day. It was even cold 😉
